Profile Products Announces ‘Go PRO, Get Free Gear’ Grand Prize Winner

January 15, 2013

Profile Products is proud to announce its “Go PRO, Get Free Gear” giveaway grand prize winner, Tim Young, environmental manager with C.S. McCrossan, based in Maple Grove, Minn. He received one pallet of ProMatrix™ Engineered Fiber Matrix™ (EFM) and two 50-degree spray nozzles — a prize package worth approximately $1,500.

The “Go PRO, Get Free Gear” giveaway sought to reward contractors who tried Profile’s newest engineered fiber matrix on a current project. Contractors were asked to fill out an online form detailing the project, their impressions of ProMatrix and the product’s performance. In addition to being eligible for the grand prize random drawing, all entrants automatically received a gift box that included a safety vest, flex-fit cap, ProMatrix T-shirt and ProMatrix helmet stickers worth an estimated retail of $100.

Young won for his submission of the Minnesota Highway 169/Interstate 494 interchange reconstruction project in Bloomington, Minn. It’s currently one of the largest highway projects in the state bearing a cost of $125 million for design and construction.

“This is currently the highest-profile highway project in the state so the products had to produce great results for the right price,” Young said. “This was my first time using ProMatrix and I came away impressed with how well it mixed in the tank and how easily it shot from the hydroseeder onto the slopes. With winter coming soon, I wanted a product with longevity to perform well into next spring and summer.”

Introduced last summer, ProMatrix is an engineered fiber matrix that offers class-leading erosion control effectiveness and a 600 percent minimum increase in initial germination based on independent testing. With a recommended 60 pounds per 100 gallons of water, ProMatrix is the highest-loading product among Bonded Fiber Matrices (BFMs). It is a cost-effective alternative to BFM and Stabilized Mulch Matrix (SMM) products. ProMatrix is best suited for projects needing to effectively reduce turbidity and runoff for up to 12 months.
