Profile Greens Grade Fortified RZ™ was specially developed to help newly constructed courses begin play sooner and permanently enhance the root zone of greens. Profile’s new patented formula combines microbes, humic acid and plant hormones, which enhance microbial activity in the root zone with the porous structure of Profile® Porous Ceramic (PPC) particles. When incorporated into the greens mix, Greens Grade Fortified RZ accelerates turf establishment and facilitates faster grow in. It also permanently enhances the root zone for turf that is more resistant to stress and less prone to disease.

The Greens Grade Fortified RZ particle boasts 74% pore space with 39% capillary (water) pores and 35% non-capillary (air) pores. Blended with sand in a greens mix, Greens Grade improves water- and nutrient-holding capabilities, increases oxygen levels at the root zone, and facilitates drainage when soils are saturated. The sand-sized particle and biological formula is ideal for sand-based construction. It meets the specifications outlined in the USGA’s Recommendations for a Method of Putting Green Construction and has been tested at major universities across the country.
