Houston’s Wortham Center Restoration Video

When Hurricane Harvey dropped nearly 63 inches (1,600 mm) of rain in Houston, the Buffalo Bayou flooded more than 40 feet (12.2 m) above the mean water level, easily overtaking the slopes, flooding the lower levels of the Wortham Center for the Performing Arts and creating void spaces under the building. To restore the slopes, the contractor employed Profile's GreenArmor™ System, a reinforced vegetative solution which offers a more aesthetically pleasing and environmentally superior means of protecting high-discharge waterways and steep slopes. This green solution proved to be a viable one.
