Golf Course Greens

Enhance the root zone on the most critical part of your course.

Golf course greens

Reduce turf stress and improve playability on the most maintenance-intensive areas of your course with the industry’s premier line of soil amendments. Profile Golf™ offers a full line of products specially designed to work at the root zone in your greens mix to permanently improve the growing conditions on your greens. Our porous ceramics outperform and far outlast peat and other organic additives. Choose the right amendment for your green:

Increase the water-, nutrient- and oxygen-holding capacity of your greens. Profile® Porous Ceramics (PPC) hold moisture in the root zone longer during hot summer months—delaying the onset of drought stress—while still providing superior drainage when your greens need it. Unlike peat, PPC will not clog pore space or seal off moisture as it degrades. In fact, the porous ceramic particles degrade only 3% over 20 years!

Improve seed germination and start play sooner. The same, porous ceramic particles of PPC Greens Grade™ are available in a proven, growth enhancing formula called Greens Grade Fortified RZ™. Designed to enhance microbial activity at the root zone, Fortified RZ incorporates humic acid, plant hormones and beneficial bacteria to facilitate more rigorous root development, increase root mass and enhance nutrient uptake for faster grow-in on your greens.

Safely and quickly reduce pH levels for healthier, thicker turf. Use Profile Aqua-pHix™ to reduce high pH levels in your greens. After a single application, Aqua-pHix reduces salts and bicarbonates, lowers pH and loosens soils for greater water infiltration. This safer method for acidification is available in granular, spray and fertigation formulas.

Protect your greens from winter ice damage. Cover your greens over the winter with Enkamat® 7010—a woven nylon filament mat that protects turf from serious ice damage. Winter ice layering seals greens, preventing gas and oxygen exchange and results in damage that requires significant labor and materials costs. Enkamat 7010 is a lightweight, easy-to-install solution, with an open matrix to prevent ice from forming on the greens, without prohibiting infiltration of water. An added benefit is that Enkamat’s dark color absorbs sunlight and helps to warm the green even in the coldest months.
