Shane Porzio Named President of Profile Products
Profile® Products is pleased to announce the hiring of Shane Porzio as president of Profile Products. In this newly created role, Porzio will be responsible for managing all of Profile’s businesses — including horticulture, environmental solutions and clay technologies— in the areas of sales, marketing, research and development, operations and logistics. Jim Tanner will remain the company’s CEO and will focus on business development.
“Shane’s wealth of experience immediately caught our attention, and we knew he would be an excellent fit to lead Profile in this role,” said Jim Tanner, CEO of Profile Products. “As our company continues to grow, he is primed to take us to the next level, and we are confident that our customers will reap the benefits of his knowledge and expertise.”
Porzio brings extensive executive experience to Profile with his most recent position as senior vice president and global head of the food and performance materials divisions for Vantage Specialty Chemicals. Prior to that role, Porzio spent 22 years with BASF in various executive positions with extensive international experience. In addition to his general management experience, Porzio has also led teams in research and development, operations, supply chain management and sales and marketing.
Porzio has his Ph.D. in polymer science from The University of Akron, an MBA from Wake Forest University, and his bachelor’s degree in chemistry and anthropology from Beloit College. He is fluent in four languages including Spanish, German and Portuguese.
Profile Products Hires National Sales Manager for Eastern U.S.
Profile® Products is adding to its accredited sales team by hiring J.R. Stewart as national sales manager for the Eastern U.S. Stewart will manage and support the eastern team of regional sales managers and market development managers, ensuring they continue to grow the market and serve Profile’s customers.
“Taking the lead as a national sales manager comes naturally to J.R., and we’re excited to add his knowledge and expertise into the Profile family,” said Wally Butman, vice president of sales for Profile Products. “With his commercial success, we’re confident our eastern sales teams will be well supported to help our customers find the best solutions for their environment.”
Stewart has more than 15 years of experience in the industry, most recently as a national sales manager for Filtrexx International. Stewart has his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
