Profile Products is pleased to announce the hiring of Lisa Akid as Middle East business development manager.Akid will focus on developing new growth opportunities in Profile’s landscape and infrastructure markets in the Middle East including United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait.

“Before joining the Profile team, Lisa had extensive knowledge of Profile’s products, as her family was the first to bring hydroseeding to Qatar,” said Joe Betulius, vice president of sports, golf and landscape at Profile Products. “Based on her invaluable experience in the region, I’m confident she will accelerate new business growth and provide our customers with the best solutions to establish vegetation and control dust and erosion in this difficult environment.”

Akid has nearly 10 years of experience in sales, landscape management and consultancy. Akid worked at her father’s business, ANT Green Turfmaker, a distributor of Profile Products, and also provided consultation and project management with area engineering firms. Akid graduated with an industrial engineering and consultancy degree with a minor in business administration management from the University of Texas at Arlington.

“I have a passion for helping the world turn green, protecting the environment and saving our natural resources,” Akid said. “I would not have accepted this position if I did not believe in Profile’s product offering for the landscape and construction market. I am truly excited to join the Profile team.”

She will be based in Qatar.
